“We at BCOA would like to extend a heartfelt thanks for your monetary donation of $2,000... Your commitment will help keep seniors' lives more enjoyable, and for our community to have a better sense of togetherness."
Tamara M. Crane, Executive Director,
Bossier Council on Aging
Each year we select our Captain, Queen, and Ladies to represent Les Femmes in the community. In addition to Mardi Gras events, they visit hospitals, nursing homes and schools to include the Shriner's Hospital, NWLA Veterans Home and the Barksdale Air Force Base Child Development Center.
Philanthropy is at the heart of our mission. Last year, we contributed over $10,000 in financial support, supplies, and in-kind services to local non-profits, including the Caddo and Bossier Councils on Aging, the NWLA Food Bank, Airmen's Attic, Toys for Tots. This year we are continuing to proudly support The Renesting Project.
Let us be clear! Whether celebrating Mardi Gras or contributing to our community, we enjoy the friendships and opportunities to network with a diverse group of women. Young and young at heart, single and married, mothers and grandmothers, we have fun!
“With the end of our record breaking 2013 year comes our heartfelt gratitude for your generous contributions during the past year! Because of you, 290 homeless families... were given an opportunity to have a future filled with promise and hope.”
Simone Hennessee, Executive Director,
Krewe de les Femmes Mystique
