Philanthropy is at the heart of our mission. Last year, we contributed over $10,000 in financial support, supplies, and in-kind services to local non-profits, including the Caddo and Bossier Councils on Aging, the NWLA Food Bank, Airmen's Attic and Toys for Tots. This year we proudly support Dress for Success of Shreveport-Bossier!
Let us be clear! Whether celebrating Mardi Gras or contributing to our community, we enjoy the friendships and opportunities to network with a diverse group of women. Young and young at heart, single and married, mothers and grandmothers, we have fun!
Each year we select our Queen, Captain and Ladies to represent Les Femmes in the community. In addition to Mardi Gras events, their recent visits include the Shriner's Hospital, NWLA War Veterans Home and the Barksdale Air Force Base Child Development Center. Above are some of our former Queens and Captains.
“With the end of our record breaking 2013 year comes our heartfelt gratitude for your generous contributions during the past year! Because of you, 290 homeless families... were given an opportunity to have a future filled with promise and hope.”
Simone Hennessee, Executive Director,
“We at BCOA would like to extend a heartfelt thanks for your monetary donation of $2,000... Your commitment will help keep seniors' lives more enjoyable, and for our community to have a better sense of togetherness."
